Adults 7 Week Handbuilding in Clay - Thursday Evening - JAN/FEB
Introduction to Hand Building
7- Recurring Handbuilding Classes
Participants will receive clay, tools, glaze, and instruction from a SPAC instructor. The instructor leads the class through a 7 week session of recurring classes. Several items (and attempted items!) will be made throughout the duration of the class. There will be 5 classes dedicated to wet clay work and the making of clay items, and 1-2 classes dedicated to the discussion and the glazing of those items. Participants will learn the holy trinity of basic clay construction: pinch and paddle, coil building, and slab construction. They will also learn decoration and cleanup techniques! You can expect 5-10 finished items to keep. We fire the finished projects after you glaze them in the final class, and then notify you when they are ready to be picked up!
