HANDBUILDING Intermediate - Tuesday Evening - MAR/APR

Intermediate Hand Building, 7-Week Course (7 Recurring Classes in a row)

Participants will receive clay, tools, glaze, and instruction from a SPAC instructor. The instructor leads the class through a 7 week session of recurring classes. Several items (and attempted items!) will be made throughout the duration of the class. There will be 6 classes dedicated to wet clay work and the making of clay items, and 1-2 classes dedicated to the discussion and the glazing of those items. Participants will be refreshed on the holy trinity of basic clay construction: pinch and paddle, coil building, and slab construction. More advanced techniques involving large scale slab and coil construction techniques will also be taught. Students will also learn more advanced decoration and cleanup glaze techniques! You can expect 5-10 finished items to keep.  We fire the finished projects after you glaze them in the final class, and then notify you when they are ready to be picked up!
